BLS Instructor

The BLS Instructor Course has two modules, the Core Instructor Course (which is to be completed online prior to your training day) and the BLS Instructor training.

The Core Instructor Course (CIC) is a foundation course required by all HSFC instructor candidates. The course teaches instructor candidates how to apply effective communication techniques, manage the classroom environment, and promote knowledge and skill transfer and retention.

The specific BLS module introduces the student to the educational materials and syllabus utilized in the delivery of the HSFC Heartsaver and Healthcare provider course.

• HSFC Heartsaver Instructor manual
• HSFC Heartsaver CPR AED DVD
• HSFC BLS for Healthcare Provider student manual
• HSFC BLS for Healthcare Providers Instructor manual
• HSFC BLS for Healthcare Providers course and renewal DVD

Student Fee Does Not include Course manual.

The final step required to have your status changed to instructor is to be monitored by a Heart and Stroke approved Instructor Trainer. We offer our monitoring services (you do not have to be monitored by OHM Medical, you are able to source an alternative HSF approved I.T).

To be monitored you can either search through courses on the Heart and Stroke portal and see if you can locate an opportunity to be monitored (they do come up but are not that readily available). Your other option is to set up a course of your own (you will be required to source the venue, equipment and attendees), contract an I.T to monitor you.
